Social Studies: (Estimated time: 20-30 minutes) DUE Mon., Oct. 2nd Watch the news on tv, listen to a podcast, read a newspaper, or find an article on the internet that catches your interest. Print the article/cut out and attach it to your notebook if you can. In your SS notebook: Write a summary of the current event you researched Write down three of the most important facts you learned Write down two vocabulary words and what you think they mean (words that are specific to this topic) Write a response giving your opinion about what you researched. How do you feel about what you read/listened to/watched? What needs to be done? Does something need to be changed? Homework that we do out of good practice/not because someone told you to: 1) Reading: Read independently for enjoyment. 2) Writing: Write independently for enjoyment.
