Winter Break is here! I hope everyone enjoys the time off with their family and finds time to relax. Below you will find your child's homework assignments. They are familiar with this checklist as we went over it in class. If your child has any questions about how to complete the assignments, have them call a friend or look in their notebooks and folders. If I get stuck, I will call ________________________. Their phone number is _______________________. Reading: Book Club Book Finish reading your book club book. Be ready to discuss it with your group when we get back from break. Respond in your reading notebook. You can use the possible topics of discussion sheet to guide your note-taking or use a way we have shared in class. (For example: Respond about patterns, big ideas/main ideas, create a mind map, etc.) Writing: Free Write!
Math: Multiplication & Division Facts -Play Sumdog to practice your basic multiplication & division facts (See email with login info) -Use flashcards to memorize multiplication facts (for some not all students) Freedom Songs: Annual 261 MLK March Continue practicing the Freedom Songs we worked on with Mr. O this week. After the break, we will be leading the march to Borough Hall, having the songs memorized will help us feel ready. :) You will need to pack: -Break Packet -Reading notebook -Book Club Book & Independent Reading Book(s) -Writing Notebook -H.W.
